Creating a legacy of faith…

Lisa Whelchel combines her love for God’s Word and her enthusiasm for scrapbooking to help women sow spiritual seeds in the next generation…and beyond.

“This Is My Story” is a fun six-week adventure that guides you in creating a keepsake “storybook” to tell of God’s love and faithfulness. Through daily Bible study and journaling activities, you will remember the significant faith stories and spiritual markers of your life. Then you will record them on beautiful archival-safe papers, adhere them to gorgeous pages, and place them in your “This Is My Story” album. (No prior scrapbooking experience required!)

By the end of the study, you’ll have a beautiful storybook that will be a treasured heirloom for children, grandchildren, or other loved ones. And this storybook, which tells of your personal walk with God, will have the power to change lives for generations to come.

We will be holding classes each week starting in September and we are currently looking for input, from anyone interested, as to when would be the best time to hold them. If you would like to be part of this fun project, please call Carol at (970)874-0399 ASAP.

The Times Are a Change’n

I just wanted you to know that we are changing some of our days we are open to better accommodate our customer’s needs.

We have had multiple requests to be open on Mondays so we are changing our days around for the summer to accommodate the Mondays Crowd.

Starting this Monday, June 13th, 2011,

we will be open on the following days:

Open: Monday & Tuesday – 10am to 5pm

Closed:Wednesday & Thursday

Open: Friday & Saturday – 10am to 5pm

Please be sure to note the changes so you don’t make a trip to the store and not find us open. We hope that these changes will be helpful to all of you Monday shoppers. Please come by and try it out, we would love to see you.

Back From Ecuador!!

Our Group In Mulauco, Ecuador.

Steve and I have just returned from a trip with our church as part of a work team to Ecuador.

We had a great time, but most of all, we completed our work in helping the local church in Mulauco put a roof on their Sunday School rooms.

Ecuador has a lot of neat shops and markets, but I didn’t see a bit of scrapbooking anywhere! It is nice to go, but it is also nice to be back and scrap our trip!!

In Memory of Betty…

Betty Scrapp'n

One of the most wonderful parts about owning The Scrappy Moose is the friends we meet. Betty was one of those special friends. She enjoyed coming into our store each Saturday to spend time scrapp’n with her scrapp’n buddy Marge. She always had a wonderful spirit about her and enjoyed a good laugh from time to time.

We found out this morning, Wednesday, March 2, 2011, that she went home to be with the Lord this last Saturday after a battle with a weak heart and pneumonia. Although heaven has gained a wonderful lady, the Moose lost a good friend. She will be missed around here!

Please be in prayer for her family as the adjust to a greater loss than us.
